Basketball professionals are stepping forward in support of military personnel and their families through a new initiative.
The?Professional Basketball Alumni Association?(PBAA)?and the?National Basketball Players Association?(NBPA), along with several players will announce their participation in a series of exhibition basketball games,?camps and clinics?to be played jointly with military personnel as part of an initiative to provide low cost / no cost quality entertainment for Service Members and their Families. The code name for this initiative is called ?Kings of the Game? and their announcement will be made during theNBA?All Star Weekend in Orlando.
These exhibition basketball events are coordinated by?MISSION ONE VOICE?(MOV), a collaborative venture between the?Center for American Military Music Opportunities(C*A*M*M*O),?Lerer Media?and the?Professional Basketball Alumni Association.
The ?Kings of the Game? initiative will consist of professional players and service members from all branches of the United States Armed Forces and will be held at various military installations and select venues across the country.??Each exhibition team will consist of both professional players and military players competing against other exhibition teams.??Military players may be either enlisted service men or veterans.
These exhibition games are scheduled to be held at military installations.??Military personnel, both active and retired, along with their families will be provided with complimentary tickets.??A complete schedule will be announced in the near future.
